 About Peter LewisBorn in Mungindi, Australia, and later resident in Newcastle. Graduated with a Diploma of Fine Art. Worked with the NewMet Ballet Company as a designer for several years. Had solo exhibitions of paintings at the Morpeth Gallery in 1982 and 1985 - See Credentials for information on awards and qualifications. Also worked as a pizza cook, labourer, taxi driver, commercial artist, and support ballet dancer. Began work at The Newcastle Herald in 1986 as the editorial cartoonist and have been there ever since. Other activities include portraiture, illustration, artwork for websites, and being a father to three young women.About Lewis Eye-Opening ArtCreated as a business in 1996 and now a company (ABN 15 081 521 851) to handle commercial artwork.About this websiteThis site was originally built using HTML in 1999 and a Flash version was added in 2004.
